The Magenta Focus Cue shows a moving magenta circle to the lazy eye while a soft neutral grey cue appears to the dominant eye, training the brain to merge visual data from both eyes. Magenta was chosen specifically because it is uncommon in natural video and remains visible against most backgrounds.
Recent updates added Visual Accents in MFBF mode: a yellow-green highlight, a red silhouette outline around human figures, and pulse controls that set these accents to a breathing rhythm to maintain attention. The app offers multiple rendering styles including balanced mode for equal per-eye treatment, pillar-box mode with widescreen realignment and head-tracking stabilization, and custom mode for experimental configurations.
The age requirement is 13+, users must correctly select their lazy eye in the menu, and sessions should last 30 to 40 minutes and never exceed one hour to prevent eye strain. Amblyotube is a training and assistive tool, not a medical treatment, therapy, or cure. It is meant to complement, not replace, professional medical guidance or prescribed patching.
